Fast Swims at our Lindsay Powell Memorial Level 2 Meet
We hosted our annual Level 2 Meet on the weekend of Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October at the Plymouth Life Centre with great success.
This was the first time that the meet has been held under its new title, being the 'Lindsay Powell Memorial Meet'. The meet was renamed in honour of Lindsay Powell, one of our coaches, who very sadly passed away in 2017. The meet was very competitive in the spirit of Lindsay’s character, but with lots of fun had along the way too.
There were some excellent swims over the weekend, with the numerous clubs from across the Westcountry attending and their swimmers securing County and Regional Qualifying times, as well as getting some useful race practice early in the season. Exeter City Swimming Club would like to thank everyone who volunteered over the weekend, including the huge number of Officials required to run a meet of this standard. Without everyone’s support and hard work, the meet would not have been able to run. Thank you and see you at the next one!
