Adrian is now a British Swimming Referee
We are really pleased to announce that another member of our club and long time swimming Official, Adrian White, has recently qualified as a British Swimming referee. This is a prestigious qualification, that takes years of experience and training.
Adrian has been a dedicated Official for Exeter City Swimming Club for a number of years now and first got involved in officiating at swim meets due to both his boys swimming and wanting to give something back to the sport. Both his boys have had huge success in the pool, with eldest son Liam having flown Exeter's nest and moving to Swansea University where he has continued his swimming with even more success. Adrian's youngest son Alec, still swims for us and is following in his older brother's success and has again qualified for British Champs in Glasgow later this month.
Adrian has always supported the sport of swimming, as he knows that running swim meets takes an army of volunteers, with Officials being an intrinsic part of this team. Without them swim meets couldn't run, meaning our swimmers would miss out. This volunteering has led Adrian to become our second Official to qualify as a Referee in the last 6 months after Martin Walters qualified last year.
We would like to congratulate Adrian on his brilliant achievement. See you poolside Adrian!
