More Open Water success for our Masters!

Over the weekend some of our Masters swimmers were taking part and smashing some local and further afield high profile Open Water events.

Steve Hurley took part in the popular Chestnut Appeal Plymouth Breakwater Swim on Sunday 4th August and won it! Steve even made it on to the local BBC Spotlight News due to his successful swim!!

Ian Lang swam in the BLDSA Champion of Champions Open Water event in Holyhead, Wales completing a 5, 3 and 1 mile swim on Saturday 3rd August.

He finished as 2nd Male and 3rd overall, which is super impressive! He completed the 5 miles in 2 hrs exactly, 3 miles in 1 hr, 15 mins and 42 secs and 1 mile in 22 mins and 32 secs, giving him a total time for the 9 miles of 3 hrs, 38 mins and 14 secs.

Ali Browning to part in the Pub To Pub Swim (Burgh Island to Bantham) on Saturday 3rd August. She was first placed female, 3rd overall, but the first skins (non-wetsuit) swimmer to finish.
